SpaceX to help develop Uzbekistan’s space programme

The American aerospace company SpaceX aims to assist Uzbekistan in developing its national space programme, acting as a consultant, according to Uzbekcosmos.

Uzbekcosmos representatives brought up the collaboration at the International Astronautical Congress held in mid-October in Italy.

The British company Surrey Satellite Technology, which builds small satellites, also plans to support Tashkent in this endeavour.

In addition, the Kyushu Institute of Technology will help train Uzbek specialists in aerospace engineering.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Uzbekistan had signed the Outer Space Treaty.
