Chinese Tourists Can Travel to Kyrgyzstan Visa-Free
Kyrgyzstan has simplified its entry rules for organised groups of Chinese tourists, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Chinese visitors in groups can stay in Kyrgyzstan for up to 21 days without requiring additional documents. Edil Baisalov, the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, stated that this measure aims to enhance people-to-people diplomacy and boost Kyrgyzstan’s appeal as a tourist destination.
In 2023, 50,000 tourists from China visited Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, Kyrgyz citizens still need a visa to travel to China.
It’s worth noting that Chinese citizens can enter Uzbekistan for up to ten days without a visa. From January to September 2024, just over 50,000 Chinese tourists visited Uzbekistan.
Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that a visa-free regime is planned to be established between Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
