After failed negotiations to free Israeli hostages
The United States urged Qatar to expel the political office of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, Reuters reports.
This request follows the group’s refusal to negotiate a deal for the release of Israeli hostages and a temporary ceasefire.
The Financial Times reports that Qatar demanded Hamas representatives leave the country. Members of Hamas’ political leadership and their families have lived in Doha since 2012.
