
On November 14 in Azerbaijan’s Baku, during the 29th session of the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29), Uzbekistan and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) signed a Framework Agreement to support the transition to a green economy. The document outlines the allocation of grants amounting to $6.5 mln.
The funds will be directed towards developing sustainable agriculture and forestry, supporting green financing, conducting strategic environmental assessments, and establishing carbon markets.
