Air Products and the U.S. Embassy to Open Makerspace in Karshi
In a collaborative effort with the American Embassy in Uzbekistan, a prominent gas chemical company Air Products announced the establishment of an innovative educational space known as Makerspace in Karshi as reported by the diplomatic mission’s press service.
Makerspace will be a dynamic workshop where individuals exchange knowledge and engage in hands-on experiments. The space will be equipped with modern tools, including software-controlled laser cutters, woodworking machines and 3D printers to create an inspiring environment. The launch of Makerspace is anticipated this winter.
The facility will also offer practical courses to equip students with essential programming, modelling and industrial design skills, all facilitated by experienced instructors.
Moreover, the Makerspace will provide Uzbeks with valuable resources and equipment, enabling them to pursue their projects individually or in groups.
Vaclav Garant, Vice President of Air Products, shared that establishing this educational space represents a meaningful investment in nurturing the talents of young people in the region.
Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that students enrolled in dual education programs can intern at the Yangi Avlod industrial zone in the capital, further enhancing their practical experience.
