In 2025, the Namangan region aims to attract $4.2 bn in investments, create 34,000 jobs, and achieve exports worth $1 bn, according to regional head Anvarjon Otakhodjaev at a meeting with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It is anticipated that by the end of the year, the poverty rate in the region will decrease to approximately 8%. The goal for 2025 is to reduce this figure to 5.3% further, which would lift 78,000 individuals out of poverty. Additionally, there are plans to create job opportunities for about 100,000 citizens who have returned from abroad after working as migrant labourers.
