With UN support
Uzbekistan will launch the Transparent Cities and Honest Districts programmes in partnership with the Anti-Corruption Agency and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UzA reports.
These programmes will create areas where transparency rules are strictly enforced, and corruption is eliminated.
Part of a broader anti-corruption initiative funded by the European Union, the programmes will first be rolled out in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, Jizzakh city, and the Vabkent district in Bukhara.
If successful, the programmes will expand nationwide.
