Uzbekistan will serve as the host for the Senior Fencing World Championships in 2027
The International Fencing Federation (FIE) announced the host cities for the 2025–2027 World Championships. Uzbekistan will host the 2027 Senior Fencing World Championships, an important event for Olympic qualification.
FIE Secretary-Treasurer Salhi Ferial Nadira revealed the following host cities:
- 2025: Veterans Fencing World Championships – Bahrain
- 2026: Veterans Fencing World Championships – Georgia
- 2027: Cadet and Junior Fencing World Championships – Estonia
- 2027: Senior Fencing World Championships – Uzbekistan
The 2027 Senior World Championships will be critical for athletes seeking Olympic qualification, as points earned at the championship will directly affect their rankings for the 2028 Games.
