Protests in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi have been ongoing for three consecutive days. During the latest protests, Kommersant reported that a fire broke out in the country’s parliament building.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when demonstrators fired fireworks at the building. This caused a fire to break out in one of the rooms, which was later extinguished.

Additionally, a large bonfire was lit near the parliament during the demonstration.

The current wave of protests was sparked by the Georgian government’s temporary decision to suspend its bid to join the European Union.
