Uzbekistan has approved an agreement with Russia on technical assistance in metrology, according to the Ministry of Justice, citing a decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Metrology, the science of establishing and developing units for measuring physical quantities, plays a critical role in standardisation and quality assurance.
The document was signed on May 27, 2024 in Tashkent. The Agency for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan will oversee the implementation of the agreement.
The Cabinet of Ministers and relevant ministries will monitor the execution of the agreement to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
