Uzbekistan plans to allocate 41 trillion soum to its healthcare sector in 2025. These funds will be used to establish and equip new hospitals, expand existing facilities, and increase the coverage of preventive medical check-ups. This announcement was made during a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Turkish experts conducted research on healthcare facilities in six regions of the country. Based on their findings, proposals are being developed to reform primary healthcare services. Officials have been instructed to draft a plan for changes in primary care.

Additionally, next year salaries for medical workers will increase, and family doctors will receive performance-based bonuses.

Pilot projects for state health insurance will be launched in Karakalpakstan and five other regions. The laboratory network will also be expanded, and an electronic system managed by the «Procurement Centre» and its branches will oversee medical equipment monitoring.

Furthermore, plans include revising 400 clinical protocols across 35 new specialisations and securing international accreditation for seven specialised centres and two universities.
