Uzbekistan’s Interest in EVs Declines

Uzbekistan imported 16,400 electric vehicles (EVs) in 2024, a 23% decrease compared to 2023, according to Deputy Minister of Energy Umid Mamadaminov.

By the end of last year the country had a total of 44,000 electric vehicles, with 25,000 of them located in Tashkent, Mamadaminov added.

The number of charging stations in Uzbekistan reached 2,900.
