Uzbekistan plans to introduce new international bus routes to Russia, China, and Central Asian countries, the Ministry of Transport reports.

The ministry intends to collaborate with domestic and foreign transport operators to achieve this.

According to the ministry’s plans, new bus services to Kazakhstan will connect Bukhara with Turkestan, Urgench with Aktau, and Fergana with Almaty (via Tajikistan).

The ministry is also encouraging businesses to establish passenger transport services to Kyrgyzstan’s cities. Proposed routes include Andijan to Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Arslanbob; Kasansay to Jalal-Abad; and Bukhara to Bishkek.

Direct routes from Samarkand and Bukhara to Dushanbe will also be launched. Travellers will be able to reach Ürümqi in China via a route from Nukus through Urgench and Bukhara.

Plans are in place to link the Surkhandarya region directly with Moscow via a route passing through Bukhara, Urgench, and Nukus. Additionally, buses will operate from Nukus and Tashkent to Ufa and Krasnodar.

Transport operators interested in these routes can submit proposals at the Ministry of Transport’s office (3 Zulfiya Khanim Street, Tashkent) or via email at info@mintrans.uz.
