WHO Thanks Uzbekistan for Evacuating Palestinians

The head of the European Regional Office of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Hans Kluge, has expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for evacuating 100 Palestinians, including women, children, and accompanying individuals, to provide them with medical assistance. He shared his appreciation on his social media page on X.

«Thank you, Uzbekistan, for these compassionate efforts to save lives!» Kluge wrote.

According to Dr Kluge, 12 member states of the WHO European Regional Office have received patients from Gaza, enabling the evacuation of more than 700 people so far. However, outside the region, over 12,000 patients still require urgent assistance.
