Ferghana Province to Attract $1.8 Bn in Investments by 2024

At the end of 2024, the Fergana region has attracted $1.8 bn in foreign direct investments and loans, according to the press service of the regional Khokimiyat.

Deputy Regional Governor Nuriddin Mamajonov announced that the region launched 1,100 investment projects last year and created more than 36,000 jobs. Representatives from 29 countries are investing in the region’s economy, and the total number of firms with foreign capital has surpassed 800.

The region’s foreign investors’ portfolio is estimated to be around $6 bn.

In 2025, regional authorities plan to improve their work efficiency with investors. They anticipate initiating projects worth $6 billion and exporting $1.5 bn in products this year, per the hokimiyat’s forecast. This will result in the creation of an additional 44,000 jobs.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Fergana regional authorities have allocated 1,200 hectares of land for industrial zones.
