Uzbekistan’s Rail Freight Volume Reaches 74 Mn Tonnes

Figures for 2024 show steady growth

Uzbekistan’s railway network transported 73.9 mn tonnes of cargo in 2024, according to the country’s Statistics Agency.
Freight turnover increased by 0.3% compared to 2023 and grew by nearly 4.7% over the past five years.
As of the first half of 2024, the largest share of rail freight consisted of ore, coal, oil, and petroleum products.
