Swindler Detained in Tashkent Promising U.S. Employment

In Tashkent, authorities have detained a con artist who promised resident assistance in finding employment in the United States, according to the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

The suspect demanded $20,000 for his services, claiming he could secure a job through high-ranking contacts.

Law enforcement officials reported that the fraudster was apprehended while handing over the money. A criminal case has been opened on charges of fraud and bribery.
