Power engineers have accused a Samarkand firm of an unjustified debt amounting to three billion soums, according to the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection.
Siralish Meva, who operates a vegetable-growing business registered in the Samarkand district, submitted a complaint against the Samarkand branch of JSC Regional Electric Networks.
An inspection confirmed that the debt was unwarranted. The committee’s staff provided legal guidance and instructed the energy company to recalculate the debt and prevent similar violations from occurring in the future.
