Alisher Kadyrov, chairman of the Milliy Tiklanish party, has criticised the public outreach efforts of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, as reported by the party’s press service.
According to the deputy, there is considerable public dissatisfaction with the country’s energy policy. Many people do not understand the changes happening in the sector and have voiced their criticism of the ministry and energy companies on social media.
Kadyrov urged the Ministry of Energy to improve its communication with the public.
«Who is telling the people that 75% of the electricity is currently generated from gas, about the issues in the networks, and the work and scale of projects for developing green energy?» Kadyrov asked during a faction meeting.
