In 2024, the Chevrolet Cobalt retained its dominant position in the car market of Uzbekistan. Sales of this model grew by 24.7% over the year, according to analysts at Focus2Move.
Daewoo Damas secured second place among the most popular models, with a sales increase of 58.8%.
The Chevrolet brand captured 58.5% of the Uzbek car market, increasing sales by 1.2% over the year. Daewoo remained in second place with 21.9% of the market and a year-on-year growth of 39.4%. Kia secured third place.
The fourth most popular car brand in the country was the Chinese company BYD. Its sales in Uzbekistan surged by 113.2% by the end of the year.
Analysts assessed the growth of the electric vehicle market in Uzbekistan at 7.1% for the year. They estimated that electric cars made up 7% of all vehicles sold in the country. BYD remained the leader in the segment, with BAIC and Tesla taking second and third places, respectively.
