According to the Statistic Agency report, Uzbekistan will import 4.2 mln mobile phones in 2024, 23.5% more than in 2023.
In monetary terms, imports last year exceeded $374 mln. 3.4 mln devices were shipped from China.
Vietnam—589.4 thousand and India—113.6 thousand were also among the three largest phone exporters to Uzbekistan.
Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Samsung plans to sell 40 mln of the Galaxy S25 line smartphones.
