At the end of February, the world witnessed a tense meeting between American President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During their discussion, the leaders exchanged mutual reproaches, and Washington and Kyiv did not reach an agreement on rare earth metals.

Kursiv Uzbekistan has compiled the opinions of foreign leaders regarding this meeting.

The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, expressed support for Ukraine through his press office. Similarly, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasised that Ukraine can count on Germany, stating, “No one desires peace more than the Ukrainians. That is why we are working toward a common path to lasting and just peace. Ukraine can rely on Germany—and on Europe.”

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, also expressed her support, saying, “Your dignity honours the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless,” in a post on X.

French President Emmanuel Macron reminded everyone that Russia is the aggressor and that Ukrainians have been subjected to aggression.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez tweeted in three languages, including Ukrainian: “Ukraine, Spain is with you.”
