A total of 192 medical institutions across Uzbekistan now offer primary support rooms for individuals affected by violence. These facilities operate 24/7, providing immediate assistance.
Women and their underage children can seek help in these rooms with a referral from a prevention inspector or the Inson centre. They are entitled to psychological and psychotherapeutic support for up to three days.
The initiative began on June 1, 2024, in the Jizzakh, Navoi, and Khorezm regions. From October 1, these rooms have been introduced nationwide.
