
A week of Women’S Appreciaion starts in Uzbekistan from March 3 to 10, coinciding with International Women’s Day, as reported by the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The week will feature various events to support women, protect their rights and promote women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. During this time, Uzbek women who have significantly contributed to the development of the state and society will be honoured.
Special visits to museums, historical sites, and shrines will be arranged for women listed in the ‘women’s’ and ‘youth’ registries and Veterans of Work. A schoolchildren’s essay competition focusing on the role of mothers in family life will also be organised.
Female residents of the mahallas will have the opportunity to undergo comprehensive medical examinations at mobile medical centers.
The mahallas will also offer master classes and cooking, sewing and weaving training sessions.
