Uzbekistan’s Housing Policy Assessed at UN

The housing policy implemented by the government of Uzbekistan has received high praise from the United Nations, according to a report by the Dunyo news agency.
UN Special Rapporteur on the right to adequate housing, Balakrishnan Rajagopal, commended recent reforms in the country for strengthening housing rights, as noted in the updated Constitution.
Rajagopal encouraged Tashkent to continue its ongoing reforms and to enforce the newly adopted legal measures in this area.
Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that prices for secondary housing in Uzbekistan increased by 4.6% in January of this year.
