Shavkat Mirziyoyev Holds Phone Talks with Central Asian Leaders Ahead of Navruz

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a series of telephone conversations with the leaders of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan ahead of the spring holiday Navruz

During the talks, the presidents exchanged warm congratulations on the upcoming celebration and wished peace and prosperity to the people of their respective nations.

Key Discussion Highlights:

  • With President of Tajikistan  Emomali Rahmon, Mirziyoyev discussed the implementation of existing agreements, support for joint economic, cultural and humanitarian projects, and preparations for an upcoming leaders’ meeting in Tajikistan at the end of March. The two leaders also reviewed coordination for future «Central Asia Plus» summits.
  • During discussions with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev , the emphasis was on enhancing trade relationships, collaborating on industrial projects, and advancing transport and energy infrastructure. They also touched on collaborative cultural initiatives within Kazakhstan.
  • With President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, discussions revolved around expanding cooperation in logistics, tourism and agriculture, as well as accelerating major regional initiatives — particularly in the transport-transit and energy sectors. The two leaders also reviewed preparations for the upcoming «Central Asia–EU» summit and the Climate Forum in Samarkand.

These high-level discussions reflect the ongoing commitment of Central Asian countries.
