The recent inauguration of the new campus of RANCH Technological University of Urgench in Urgench marks a significant advancement in the region’s educational landscape. Attended by Dzhurabek Rakhimov, the Khokim of the Khorezm region, the opening ceremony highlighted the university’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities.

By utilising locally sourced materials such as reinforced concrete and furniture fittings from Urgenchkormmash JSC, the university not only demonstrates sustainable practices but also fosters local industry collaboration. This approach reduces costs and supports the regional economy.

The new campus is poised to accommodate 16,000 students, representing a substantial increase in educational capacity. With plans to expand the number of faculties and departments, the university will broaden its academic offerings to 36 areas of study. The construction of a 400-bed dormitory showcases a dedication to student welfare, with future plans for another dormitory projected to cost 50 bn soums, ensuring that housing needs are met as the student body grows.

Moreover, in line with the commitment to quality education, Uzbekistan is set to introduce a youth program aimed at preparing students for admission to Ivy League universities. This initiative reflects a forward-thinking approach to higher education, providing aspiring students with the necessary resources and guidance to excel on a global stage. Overall, the developments at RANCH Technological University signify a promising step towards enhancing educational standards and opportunities in the region.
