Three Countries Engage with Trump on Duty Reductions

Israel, India and Vietnam are in discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump to negotiate lower duties, according to a report by CNN.
Sources indicate that these countries aim to finalize individual trade agreements with the U.S. by the end of next week.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Trump on Monday, April 7. The two leaders will discuss trade, Iran’s nuclear program, and the Gaza peace settlement. Although Israel previously removed duties on imports of U.S. goods, this decision did not prevent the imposition of trade restrictions.
On April 2, Donald Trump announced duties affecting 211 countries and territories. Specifically, duties on Israeli goods will be set at 17%, imports from India will face 26% duties, and those from Vietnam will incur 46% duties.
The U.S. President has expressed his willingness to negotiate the cancellation of these duties with specific countries and is awaiting «phenomenal» proposals from his trade partners.
