Barcelona put on a brilliant performance at Montjuïc, beating Borussia Dortmund 4–0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final. Hansi Flick’s team dominated from start to finish and are now strong favourites to reach the semi-finals.

Match highlights

Raphinha opened the scoring in the first half with a smart finish after a low cross.

In the second half, Barcelona turned up the pressure. Lewandowski scored twice in quick succession, and Lamine Yamal made it 4–0 with a calm one-on-one finish.

Dortmund struggled all game. They couldn’t control the midfield, their attack didn’t create chances, and their defence was all over the place.

Barça were clearly the better side in every way — more possession, more shots, and more dangerous moments.

One of the standout players was 17-year-old Pau Cubarsí. He was solid in defence and even got an assist.

What’s next

The second leg is set for April 16 in Dortmund. But after this result, it would take something truly extraordinary for Borussia to turn things around. Barcelona look all but through to the semi-finals.
