Kazakhstan has begun denying entry to motorists from both Uzbekistan and Russia due to unpaid traffic fines, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport.

Several Uzbek nationals have already faced issues at the border after accumulating administrative penalties for traffic violations committed on Kazakh territory.

The ministry reminded citizens that they can pay outstanding fines via the Kaspi Bank website or mobile app under the public services section. Once paid, Kazakh authorities will lift the entry restrictions.
