The International Olympic Committee (IOC) signs a contract to host the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps, according to TASS.
The sporting events will take place across two mountainous regions in France. In July last year, the IOC confirmed the host locations for the 2030 and 2034 Winter Olympic Games.
The 2030 Games will mark the fourth time France hosts the Winter Olympics. The country previously held the Games in Chamonix in 1924, Grenoble in 1968, and Albertville in 1992.
Salt Lake City in the United States will host the 2034 Winter Olympics.
