Former US President Joe Biden has set his speaking fee at $300,000 per engagement, according to reports by New York Post.
Following his presidency, Biden began collaborating with the Creative Artists Agency. However, demand for paid speaking appearances has been modest so far.
In the past two months, Biden has addressed events such as a conference hosted by the National Model United Nations and a gathering of advocates, consultants, and representatives from the American Association for People with Disabilities (AAPD).
On March 15, Biden also spoke at a seminar at Harvard University, a session for which he reportedly did not charge a fee.
Some industry sources speculate that demand for Biden’s speaking engagements may increase, particularly as public dissatisfaction with the current US President Donald Trump’s policies rises. Conversely, others have raised concerns about Biden’s oratory skills and questioned the suitability of his representation by the Creative Artists Agency.
For comparison, former Presidents Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as Barack Obama, are represented by the Harry Walker Agency. After leaving office, Obama’s speaking engagements were priced at approximately $400,000, a fee that attracted interest from major universities and business conference organisers.
