What Mirziyoyev and Aliyev Discussed

On Saturday, April 26, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation.

The two leaders discussed strengthening cooperation between their countries, with a particular focus on economic collaboration. Since the beginning of this year, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan has increased by 20%.

Both sides are currently working on joint projects across various sectors, including automotive manufacturing and agriculture.

Tashkent and Baku are also planning to hold an intergovernmental commission meeting and other joint events later this year.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have become strategic partners in the field of green energy.
