Mirziyoyev Meets Russian Delegation at Innoprom Central Asia

On April 28, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a series of meetings with the Russian delegation during the international industrial exhibition Innoprom. Central Asia, currently underway in Tashkent.
The forum, which is taking place at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan exhibition center, has drawn over 10,000 participants from Russia, Central Asia, China, India, and other countries.
The event showcases cutting-edge technologies, equipment and products from sectors such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy, chemicals, transportation, construction, IT, and more.
During the exhibition, President Mirziyoyev met with several key Russian officials. In talks with the Russian delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, the sides discussed joint projects launched following the Russian president’s visit to Uzbekistan last year.
In a meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, discussions focused on expanding cooperation in the oil and gas, chemical, transportation and tourism sectors and collaboration within Uzbekistan’s industrial zones.
With Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev, Mirziyoyev addressed civil nuclear projects, including using nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine and training specialists at the Tashkent branch of the MEPhI National Research Nuclear University.
The president also participated in a roundtable discussion, during which regional leaders and business representatives from both countries presented plans for launching new joint ventures.
