What Are Key Outcomes of INNOPROM for Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan aims to strengthen industrial cooperation, expand regional projects and develop nuclear technologies for agriculture and healthcare. These priorities were announced during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to the INNOPROM Central Asia exhibition in Tashkent on April 28.

During his visit President Mirziyoyev emphasized the significant potential for expanding economic partnerships and generating new business ideas. He expressed confidence that the forum would drive the launch of major new projects and foster the development of long-term cooperation.

On the sidelines of the event, President Mirziyoyev met with several high-level figures. He held talks with Denis Manturov, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, who conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The discussions focused on the continued growth of trade between the two countries and the practical implementation of agreements made during President Putin’s 2024 visit to Uzbekistan.

Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, also participated in discussions about expanding industrial cooperation, particularly in oil, gas, chemicals, and tourism. Both sides agreed to strengthen contacts and pursue joint projects in Uzbekistan’s industrial zones.

In a meeting with Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom, both leaders acknowledged the progress in peaceful nuclear technology cooperation, with particular emphasis on its application in agriculture and healthcare, along with the training of specialists at the MEPhI branch in Tashkent.

President Mirziyoyev also participated in a roundtable where leaders of regions and major companies from both countries presented specific plans to deepen industrial cooperation.

The event proved to be an important platform for advancing Uzbekistan’s industrial and economic goals reinforcing its role as a key player in regional cooperation.
