
The UN General Assembly has adopted Uzbekistan’s resolution declaring 2027–2036 the Decade of Reforestation and Forest Restoration.
The document reflects the key initiatives of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, including the Yashil Makon (Green Nation) project and the Green Belt of Central Asia programme.
More than 80 countries helped prepare the resolution, among them states from Central Asia as well as Western and Eastern Europe.
The Government of Uzbekistan confirmed the adoption through its official press service.
