Uzbekistan Sees Annual Inflation Fall to 10.1%

Consumer prices in Uzbekistan increased by 0.7% in April 2025, according to data from the State Statistics Committee. Annual inflation slowed to 10.1%.
Goods prices rose by 0.6% during the month and stood 5.2% higher than in April 2024. Food prices increased by 0.8% in April and grew by 4% over the year.
Service prices recorded stronger growth rising by 1% in April. On an annual basis service inflation reached 26.1% largely driven by higher utility tariffs.
The highest annual inflation rates were registered in Tashkent Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions.
In April 2025 prices for information and communication services rose by 1.4%. Medical services increased by 1.3% while restaurant and hotel services rose by 1%. The same increase was recorded in the short-term consumer price index for alcohol tobacco and transport services.
Fergana Namangan and Bukhara regions posted the highest price increases in April. Consumer prices rose more slowly over the past year in Syrdarya and Navoi regions.
