In 1Q25, 1.5 mln citizens of Uzbekistan travelled abroad, marking a 20.3% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Committee.
Visiting relatives remained the primary purpose for international travel. Nearly 1.2 mln Uzbek nationals cited family visits as their main reason for going abroad.
Additionally, 307,200 travelled for tourism, while 11,800 sought medical treatment. Another 7,400 went abroad to pursue education.
Business travel also contributed to the figures, with 3,300 citizens departing on official trips.
