The majority of visitors came from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, the Committee told Kursiv Uzbekistan.
«This figure is not only a historic achievement, but also the result of consistent reforms implemented in the tourism sector,» the Committee noted.
Uzbekistan plans to further expand its range of services for foreign visitors and strengthen its position in the global tourism market, the authority added.
