Environmental specialists have explained the cause of the recent dust storm in Tashkent. Member of the Oliy Majlis Bakhtiyor Pulatov shared the details via his official Telegram channel.

Batyr Khalmurat, an environmental expert, stated that the storm resulted from an abrupt change in weather. Cold air moved in from the north while warm air rose from the south. As the two air masses collided over Tashkent, strong winds formed.

The wind picked up dust from the dry ground and spread it across the city. In some areas, wind speeds exceeded 20 metres per second. Experts refer to this meteorological event as a frontal collision of air masses.
