Birth Rate in Uzbekistan Falls by 3.7% in 1Q25

Between January and March 2025, 198,100 children were born in Uzbekistan, according to the National Statistics Committee. This marks a 3.7% decline compared to the same period last year.
In 193,400 cases, mothers gave birth to a single child. Another 4,600 births involved twins, while 137 cases included triplets or more.
Earlier, Kursiv Uzbekistan reported that children from low-income families will be able to attend after-school programmes free of charge.
