Uzbek Design to Debut at London Design Biennale

The pavilion Garden of the Past and Future, showcasing contemporary Uzbek design, will make its debut at the London Design Biennale on June 5. Visitors will be able to explore suzani works by Madina Kasimbayeva, as well as furniture pieces by Tigran Erdman and Timur Parmanov, among others.
The pavilion is organised by Uzbekistan’s DNA Strategic Communications Agency, with the design developed by NAAW Studio from Almaty.
«The pavilion draws inspiration from the magnificent gardens that surrounded Samarkand during the reign of Amir Temur,» DNA said in a statement.
The agency also highlighted that Uzbekistan’s participation will support further cultural exchange between Tashkent and London.
The London Design Biennale was launched in 2016. This year’s event will feature over 40 national pavilions and will run from June 5 to 29 at Somerset House in London.
Earlier, Kursiv Uzbekistan reported that Uzbekistan’s pavilion at Expo 2025 received the Gold Award at the German Design Award.
