Freedom Pay continues to strengthen its contribution to the growth of the digital economy in Central Asia. In early June, Nazokat Rashidova, CEO of Freedom Pay in Uzbekistan, spoke at two major E-GATE conferences supported by the World Bank — on June 5 in Dushanbe and June 10 in Bishkek.

At the Dushanbe conference, Nazokat Rashidova participated in a panel discussion focused on the role of women in digital entrepreneurship. In her remarks, she highlighted that e-commerce and online payment services open new business opportunities for women, particularly in countries with limited access to traditional labor markets.

«At Freedom Pay, we view digital payment solutions not just as technology but as a comprehensive tool to support businesses at every stage — from their first steps in e-commerce to entering international markets. This is especially vital for small and medium enterprises, many of which are founded by women entrepreneurs. We go beyond technical integration: we share global experience, offer guidance, and create transparent, user-friendly conditions that build trust and boost confidence — especially for those just starting out in e-commerce,» Rashidova emphasised.

At the E-GATE conference in Bishkek, discussions centered on tools and technologies that can expand access for SMEs to digital commerce across Central Asia. Participants explored innovative approaches to simplifying cross-border payments and the role of government policy in fostering inclusive fintech ecosystems.

Nazokat Rashidova presented Freedom Pay’s perspective, emphasizing the importance of deep expertise and localised solutions tailored to each country:

«Freedom Pay is already present in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, which gives us the capabilities, technologies and insights needed to sustainably develop fintech infrastructure in the region. While each country is unique, one common challenge remains — developing internet acquiring technologies. Despite that, our top priority is to deliver secure and reliable solutions, ensuring that businesses know their transactions are protected. That’s the foundation of trust. In addition, we can integrate all payment channels into a single payment page, making the process convenient for both buyers and sellers. This not only simplifies operations but also helps businesses truly generate revenue,» she said.

Freedom Pay’s participation in the E-GATE forums highlights the company’s commitment to supporting the development of e-commerce in Central Asia. Discussions in Dushanbe and Bishkek demonstrated that effective digital trade requires modern payment solutions and collaborative efforts between business, government, and international partners.
