Uzbekistan’s economy is projected to grow by 5.9% in 2025, according to analysts at the World Bank (WB). The same growth rate is expected in 2026.

In 2027, the country’s GDP is forecast to expand by 5.8%.

The World Bank also expects economic growth in Europe and Central Asia to slow to 2.4% in 2025. However, regional GDP is projected to recover slightly to 2.6% in both 2026 and 2027.

World Bank experts warn that the global economy will decelerate to 2.3% this year, due to rising trade tensions and political challenges.

«Shocks have led to downward revisions in growth forecasts for nearly 70% of economies — across all regions,» the WB report noted.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Uzbekistan’s Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) forecast GDP growth of 6.7% for the first half of 2025.
