President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the heads of several major Chinese companies, including China State Construction, China General Nuclear Power, CAMCE, Goldwind and ZTO Express.
China State Construction
With the head of China State Construction, the President discussed joint projects in Tashkent, including road modernization and the construction of cultural facilities. The parties agreed to establish a new industrial zone in the Tashkent region and develop new highways.
China General Nuclear Power
Talks with China General Nuclear Power focused on the mining industry and the construction of a hybrid solar power plant. They also discussed introducing advanced cargo scanning technologies at customs checkpoints.
CAMCE
The company is already building the Olympic Village in Tashkent and managing the Yangi Avlod Industrial Technopark. New projects in the energy sector and the development of New Tashkent were also on the agenda.
Goldwind
Discussions with Goldwind centered on wind energy — Uzbekistan is already producing components for wind turbines. Agreements were reached to expand local manufacturing and accelerate ongoing projects.
ZTO Express
The head of ZTO Express shared plans to launch an online customs clearance platform and build smart warehouses in Uzbekistan.
Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Chinese company Datatek Technology plans to take part in developing the public transportation system in Karakalpakstan.
