Uzbek citizens wishing to leave Israel can do so through designated border crossings with Egypt and Jordan, according to a list published by the Embassy of Uzbekistan.
Travellers may exit Israel via the Menachem Begin / Taba crossing between Eilat and Taba (Egypt). Additional options include the Itzhak Rabin / Wadi Arava crossing between Eilat and Aqaba (Jordan), and the Sheikh Hussein Bridge between Beit She’an (Israel) and Irbid (Jordan). The embassy confirmed that all of these border points operate 24 hours a day.
At the Menachem Begin / Taba crossing, Uzbek nationals may stay in the Sinai Peninsula for up to two weeks without a visa. However, travel to Cairo and other Egyptian cities remains prohibited.
From Taba, passengers can travel to Sharm El Sheikh, where flights to Uzbekistan are available with Uzbekistan Airways on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines also operate transit routes to Tashkent from Sharm El Sheikh.
For those crossing into Jordan, onward travel to Amman allows for transit routes such as Amman–Istanbul–Tashkent or Amman–Dubai–Tashkent.
The embassy reminded travellers that a Jordanian visa must be obtained in advance via the website of the Jordanian Ministry of Interior.
Uzbek citizens may also contact the embassies of Uzbekistan in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel. Full contact details are available via the embassy’s official link.
Earlier, Kursiv Uzbekistan reported that the foreign ministers of Arab countries condemned Israel’s strikes on Iran.
