Trump Suggests Possibility of Regime Change in Iran

US President Donald Trump has suggested a possible change of power in Iran, posting the statement on his Truth Social account a day after American air strikes targeted nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic.
«It may not be politically correct to use the term ‘regime change,’ but if the current Iranian regime cannot make Iran great again, why not change the regime??? MIGA (Make Iran Great Again),» Trump wrote.
From 1925 to 1979, Iran was ruled by the Pahlavi dynasty. The monarchy ended in 1979 when Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was overthrown during the Islamic Revolution.
As previously reported, US forces attacked Iranian nuclear sites on June 22 using Northrop B-2 Spirit bombers and Tomahawk missiles. US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth later claimed the operation had dismantled Tehran’s nuclear programme.
In response, Iranian authorities pledged retaliation and accused the United States of triggering a war. Iran’s parliament also backed a proposal to close the Strait of Hormuz, though final approval must come from the country’s Supreme National Security Council.
