Uzbekistan has taken a major step in regulating the gambling sector. The government approved a unified registry for all players and betting transactions.

What Is the Unified Registry of Bets and Players

The new system, officially called the Unified State Register of Bets and Players, will collect and store key data. It includes player profiles, betting activity, payout records, and spending limits.

The registry will also list players restricted from participating. These include minors, government employees, and people under social protection.

Who Will Manage the Betting Registry

The Uzinfocom company will manage the system, under the supervision of the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP). A separate clearinghouse will handle all transactions in non-cash form.

The system gives NAPP full access to control tools. These include analytics, user monitoring, and legal oversight.

How Will the System Work

Data will be stored for five years. Players can set a personal deposit limit, which must not exceed 10% of their average income.

Payouts and bets will be tracked in real time. The registry is also designed to prevent gambling addiction and financial risks.

Why This Matters for Legal Gambling in Uzbekistan

The registry is a core part of the government’s plan to legalise and regulate betting. It was first proposed in a Cabinet resolution in December 2024.

By tracking transactions and player behaviour, Uzbekistan aims to ensure transparency and safety in the betting industry.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP) has approved a new regulation on penalties for lottery organisers and betting operators.
