President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shaykhantakhur and Chilanzar districts of Tashkent to review recent improvements to the urban environment. The main focus of the visit was Bunyodkor Avenue, where a 1.5-kilometer section of the street was recently transformed into a pedestrian and gastronomic zone.

Fountains, lighting, and landscaping elements have now been installed along the road. The area is home to 90 businesses, 45 of which are newly opened. All establishments operate 24/7, creating 500 jobs.

Located nearby are the Kamolon, Yangi Kamolon, and Kamolon Darvoza mahallas, home to 18,000 residents. The street improvements are expected to have a direct positive impact on their daily lives. Additionally, this area already receives around 255,000 tourists annually. That number is now expected to grow to 1 million.

Overall, Tashkent plans to develop 26 round-the-clock tourist streets and increase the number of 24/7 establishments to 1,000.
