Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez is now reportedly open to a summer move to the Saudi Pro League, following the collapse of his proposed transfer to Napoli, as reported by FootballTransfers.

The Uruguayan international had prioritised a switch to Antonio Conte’s side, but weeks of negotiations failed to produce a deal. Napoli ultimately refused to meet Liverpool’s €75 million asking price and instead signed Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese on loan, with a future fee agreement worth up to €40 mln.

With Napoli no longer an option, Nunez is now prepared to entertain offers from Saudi Arabia, according to TBR Football. Multiple Saudi clubs — including Al-Hilal — are reportedly ready to meet Liverpool’s valuation to secure the 25-year-old forward.

Elsewhere, AC Milan, Barcelona, Al-Nassr and even Newcastle United have been linked with Nunez, though transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that formal talks have yet to begin.

Should Nunez depart, Liverpool are expected to move quickly for a replacement. Their top target is Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, and the club is said to be preparing a record-breaking offer of €138.6 mln (£120mln). However, Newcastle are reluctant to sell, prompting the Reds to also consider Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike, with personal terms already agreed.

A final decision on Nunez’s future is expected in the coming weeks as Liverpool weigh their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Kursive Uzbekistan also reports that Jack Grealish’s Manchester City future remains uncertain, with the club open to selling the midfielder this summer, though a permanent exit appears unlikely at this stage.
